Best Places to Eat at Disney World by Park and Price Range

Finding the best places to eat at Disney World can be tough because every park has so many choices. Some days you just want a quick meal that does not take up half your day. Other times, you want a sit-down restaurant where your family can relax. And sometimes, you want a dining experience that feels like a major part of the trip.

That is why I like breaking Disney dining down by park and price range.

For each Disney World park, I picked one budget-friendly option, one mid-range option, and one splurge meal. These are the places I would recommend if you want good food, a solid location, and a meal that makes sense for the type of park day you are having.

Menus and prices can change, so always check the My Disney Experience app before your trip. But if you are trying to plan where to eat at Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, or Animal Kingdom, this is a good place to start.

Magic Kingdom

Magic Kingdom has a lot of classic Disney snacks, but when it comes to full meals, the options can feel a little harder to sort through. These three restaurants give you a good mix of quick service, family-style comfort food, and one of the most themed dining experiences in the park.

Budget: Columbia Harbour House

Columbia Harbour House is one of the better quick-service restaurants in Magic Kingdom if you want something that feels different from standard burgers and fries.

Located in Liberty Square near the Haunted Mansion, this restaurant has a cozy New England-style feel and a menu with seafood, chicken, and lighter options. It is also in a great spot if you are spending time near Liberty Square, Frontierland, or Fantasyland.

The best thing on the menu is the lobster roll. It feels like a step up from a basic quick-service meal, and it is a good option if you want something filling without booking a table-service reservation.

This is a strong pick for guests who want a better quick-service meal in Magic Kingdom without spending too much time sitting down.

Best for: A quick seafood meal, Haunted Mansion area dining, and a better-than-average quick-service lunch.

Mid-Range: Liberty Tree Tavern

Liberty Tree Tavern is one of my favorite family-style restaurants at Disney World.

It is located in Liberty Square, not far from Columbia Harbour House, and it serves an all-you-care-to-enjoy meal at a set price per person. That makes it easy for families because everyone knows what the meal will cost before ordering.

The food feels like a Thanksgiving-style dinner. You get hearty comfort food like pot roast, turkey, pork, mashed potatoes, stuffing, vegetables, and other classic sides. The pot roast and mashed potatoes are the standouts for me. They are rich, filling, and some of the best comfort food I have had on Disney property.

This is a great restaurant when you want to sit down, cool off, and eat a real meal instead of grabbing another snack or quick-service tray.

Best for: Families, comfort food, big appetites, and a sit-down break in Magic Kingdom.

Splurge: Be Our Guest Restaurant

Be Our Guest Restaurant is one of the most popular dining experiences in Magic Kingdom, and the setting is the main reason to go.

You get to eat inside the Beast’s Castle, which already makes it feel different from most restaurants in the park. The restaurant has three dining rooms: The Grand Ballroom, The West Wing, and The Rose Gallery. Each room has its own look and makes the meal feel like part of the Disney experience.

The meal is a set-price dining experience where guests choose from a selection of appetizers, entrées, and desserts. It is more expensive than most Magic Kingdom meals, so I would treat this as a splurge.

If you want a restaurant that feels like a full Disney moment, this is one of the best options in Magic Kingdom. The food is good, but the real reason to book it is the atmosphere.

Be Our Guest is located in Fantasyland near Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, which makes it easy to plan around that side of the park.

Best for: A themed dining experience, Beauty and the Beast fans, special occasions, and guests who want a memorable Magic Kingdom meal.

EPCOT

EPCOT is one of the best Disney World parks for food because you have so many choices around World Showcase and beyond. You can get barbecue, Mexican food, steak, family-style meals, snacks, festival booths, and more.

For this list, I picked three restaurants that offer different dining styles and work for different budgets.

Budget: Regal Eagle Smokehouse

Regal Eagle Smokehouse is my go-to quick-service restaurant at EPCOT.

Located in The American Adventure pavilion, this restaurant serves classic American barbecue, and the food is very solid for the price. You can find items like brisket sandwiches, barbecue chicken, ribs, burgers, and sides.

The brisket sandwich is one of the best quick-service meals in EPCOT. The barbecue chicken is also a good pick, and the mac and cheese is one of those sides that can make the meal feel much better.

Regal Eagle is also a helpful option if you are with a group because barbecue is easy for most people to understand. It is not overly complicated, and it works well when you need a filling meal during a long EPCOT day.

Best for: Barbecue, quick-service lunch, picky eaters, and a filling meal in World Showcase.

Mid-Range: La Hacienda de San Angel

La Hacienda de San Angel is a great mid-range pick in EPCOT if you want Mexican food in a nicer sit-down setting.

Located in the Mexico pavilion, this restaurant has a strong menu with tacos, carne asada, chorizo, seafood, and other Mexican-inspired dishes. It also has a great atmosphere, especially if you can get a table with a view of the World Showcase Lagoon.

The beef tacos are the standout for me. They are simple, flavorful, and a good choice if you want something familiar but still better than a basic quick-service meal.

This is a good restaurant for guests who want a table-service meal at EPCOT without going all the way into the highest price range.

Best for: Mexican food, lagoon views, tacos, and a relaxed EPCOT dinner.

Splurge: Garden Grill Restaurant

Garden Grill is one of the best splurge meals at EPCOT if you want a family-style restaurant with good food and a fun setting.

It is located in The Land pavilion near Soarin’, which makes it easy to pair with one of EPCOT’s most popular rides. The restaurant serves an all-you-care-to-enjoy meal family-style, so you do not have to worry about ordering individual entrées.

The steak, mashed potatoes, and seasonal vegetables are the highlights for me. The vegetables taste fresh, and part of the appeal is that some produce served at Garden Grill is grown in the Living with the Land greenhouses.

This is also a character meal, which makes it a bigger experience than a regular sit-down restaurant. That is why I would put it in the splurge category. You are paying for the food, the family-style format, and the character dining experience.

Best for: Families, character dining, steak, mashed potatoes, and a relaxed meal near Soarin’.

Hollywood Studios

Hollywood Studios has some fun themed restaurants, but it can also get busy fast. This park is one where planning your meal ahead of time helps a lot, especially if you want to avoid long mobile order waits.

These three restaurants give you a good mix of quick service, classic comfort food, and themed family-style dining.

Budget: Woody’s Lunch Box

Woody’s Lunch Box is a great budget option in Hollywood Studios, especially if you are spending time in Toy Story Land.

The BBQ Brisket Melt is the best item here. It comes with smoked brisket, cheese, pickles, and barbecue sauce on grilled bread, and it is usually served with potato barrels. It is filling, flavorful, and a better quick-service choice than many basic theme park meals.

This is also a good spot for families and kids because the menu is simple and approachable. The downside is that Woody’s Lunch Box can get busy, and the wait for food can be long during peak times.

My biggest tip is to mobile order early. Do not wait until everyone is starving. Pick your return window ahead of time so you can avoid standing around in the heat waiting for food.

Best for: Toy Story Land, families, kids, mobile ordering, and a quick but filling lunch.

Mid-Range: 50’s Prime Time Café

50’s Prime Time Café is one of the most fun table-service restaurants in Hollywood Studios.

The restaurant feels like you are eating in a retro family kitchen, and the servers add to the experience with playful “family rules.” It is a good choice when you want a break from the park but still want a restaurant with personality.

The food is classic American comfort food. The meatloaf is one of the best things on the menu, especially if you like old-school meals with mashed potatoes and vegetables. If you cannot decide, the sampler-style meals are a good way to try multiple comfort food favorites.

This is a strong mid-range option because it gives you more of an experience than quick service without jumping into the highest price tier.

Best for: Comfort food, meatloaf, families, retro theming, and a sit-down break.

Splurge: Roundup Rodeo BBQ

Roundup Rodeo BBQ is a fun splurge option in Hollywood Studios, especially for families and Toy Story fans.

This is an all-you-care-to-enjoy family-style restaurant in Toy Story Land. The meal is brought to the table, and you can ask for more of what you like. That makes it a good pick if your group has big appetites.

The sausage and tater tots are some of the best parts of the meal. It is the kind of restaurant where you should not be shy about asking for extra of whatever your table enjoys most.

The theming is also a major part of the appeal. It feels playful, colorful, and very connected to Toy Story Land. Since it is family-style and priced higher than quick service, I would treat it as a splurge meal for Hollywood Studios.

Best for: Families, Toy Story fans, barbecue, big appetites, and an all-you-care-to-enjoy meal.

Animal Kingdom

Animal Kingdom has some of the most interesting food at Disney World. The park has a lot of options that feel different from standard theme park food, especially if you want bold flavors, bowls, Asian-inspired dishes, or a nicer sit-down meal.

These three picks cover a quick healthy meal, a reliable table-service restaurant, and one of the best fine dining options inside any Disney park.

Budget: Satu’li Canteen

Satu’li Canteen is one of the best quick-service restaurants in all of Disney World.

Located in Pandora — The World of Avatar, this restaurant is known for customizable bowls. You can build your meal with different proteins, bases, sauces, and toppings. That makes it easy to get something that feels fresh, filling, and different from typical park food.

This is a great option if you want a healthier quick-service meal. The bowls can be light or filling depending on how you build them, and the restaurant fits well into an Animal Kingdom day because it is close to Avatar Flight of Passage and Na’vi River Journey.

If you are tired of burgers, fries, and chicken strips, Satu’li Canteen is the place I would send you.

Best for: Customizable bowls, healthier quick service, Pandora, and a fresh lunch in Animal Kingdom.

Mid-Range: Yak & Yeti Restaurant

Yak & Yeti Restaurant is a great mid-range table-service restaurant in Animal Kingdom.

The restaurant has a beautiful Nepalese-style design, and the menu has a strong mix of pan-Asian dishes. It is one of those restaurants where the setting feels detailed, but the food is still the main reason to go.

The Honey Chicken is one of the best items on the menu. It is sweet, crispy, filling, and easy to recommend. The Hibachi Steak and Shrimp is another strong pick if you want something bigger and more protein-heavy.

Yak & Yeti is a good choice when you want to sit down in Animal Kingdom and eat something with more flavor than a basic quick-service meal.

Best for: Pan-Asian food, Honey Chicken, steak and shrimp, and a nice sit-down meal in Animal Kingdom.

Splurge: Tiffins Restaurant

Tiffins Restaurant is the splurge pick for Animal Kingdom.

Located on Discovery Island, Tiffins is one of the best restaurants inside any Disney World park if you want a more elevated meal. The menu pulls from African, Asian, and Latin-inspired flavors, and the setting feels more relaxed and refined than most in-park restaurants.

The Butter Chicken is one of the best items on the menu. It is flavorful, comforting, and a great choice if you want something rich but not too unusual. The Oaxacan Pork Duo is another standout if you want a bigger, more layered entrée with bold flavors.

Tiffins is not the cheapest meal, but it is a good pick if you want a break from the heat, crowds, and quick-service rush. It is also a great option for adults, couples, or anyone who wants Animal Kingdom dining to feel like part of the day instead of just a food stop.

Best for: A higher-end park meal, adults, couples, bold flavors, and a sit-down break at Animal Kingdom.

Final Thoughts

The best places to eat at Disney World depend on your budget, your park plans, and how much time you want to spend eating.

If you want quick and easy, Columbia Harbour House, Regal Eagle Smokehouse, Woody’s Lunch Box, and Satu’li Canteen are great places to start. They give you a solid meal without taking too much time out of your park day.

If you want a sit-down meal without going all-out, Liberty Tree Tavern, La Hacienda de San Angel, 50’s Prime Time Café, and Yak & Yeti are strong picks. These are the restaurants I would look at when you want to rest, cool off, and enjoy a better meal.

If you want a splurge, Be Our Guest, Garden Grill, Roundup Rodeo BBQ, and Tiffins each offer something different. Some are more about theming, some are better for families, and some are better for food quality.

My best advice is to plan your meals around your park day. Do not book a restaurant just because it is popular. Pick the place that fits your location, budget, appetite, and schedule.

A good Disney meal can make your day better. A poorly timed meal can slow everything down. Choose the restaurant that works for your trip, and always check the current menu before you go.
